KCET 2024 Exam Timings
The KCET Examination will be conducted on 18th and 19th April 2024. The exam is conducted in 2 schedules, wherein day 1 is for Mathematics/Biology and the second day is for Physics and Chemistry.

KCET 2024: Kannada Language Test
Candidates who will be claiming eligibility for Government seats under Horanadu and Gadinadu Kannadiga clauses will be required to appear in Kannada Language Test.
- Kannada Language Testis conducted in offline mode for a duration of 60 minutes. The Kannada Language Test will be conducted of 4th standard level.
- Kannada Language Test will be conducted at exam centers in Bengaluru, Belagavi, Bidar, Bijapura, and Mangalore Centers.
- The minimum qualifying marks for candidates appearing in Kannada Language Test is 12 marks out of a total 50 marks.
- Horanadu and Gadinadu Kannadiga candidates who have completed academic years from 1st to 10th standard in Kannada medium outside Karnataka state are not required to appear in Kannada Language Test.

Some important points with regard to the KCET exam pattern are as follows:
- Each question paper will consist of Multiple Choice Questions (objective type)
- Each question will have four different options
- Candidates are expected to attempt all the questions in order to obtain maximum marks
- There will be no negative marking for incorrect answers
- No marks will be given if a candidate marks multiple options for a single question even if one of the marked options happens to be the correct answer

KCET Exam Pattern 2024 Important Points
- The subjects covered by the KCET Exam Pattern are Biology, Chemistry, Physics, and Mathematics.
- In KCET 2024, each question will be worth one mark.
- The candidates will have eighty minutes to answer the questions.
- In the KCET 2024 exam, each question will have four possible answers, only one of which will be the right response.
- Negative marking will not be used in the KCET 2024 exam.
- If a question has more than one answer, no marks will be awarded.
- The KCET exam is offered offline.
- The Kannada Language Test will be administered to candidates from Horanadu and Gadinadu Kannadiga.

KCET 2024 Instructions for OMR Sheet
Candidates appearing for the KCET 2024 exam will be required to mark their answers in the OMR sheet that will be provided to them at the time of the examination. Candidates must fill out the OMR sheet very carefully.
Thus, candidates must keep in mind the following OMR sheet instructions while appearing for the KCET exam:
- Candidates must use only a blue/ballpoint pen for filling up the OMR answer sheets
- In the initial 10 minutes of the exam, candidates must shade various details like their name, CET number, version code, and serial number of the question booklet on their OMR sheets
- In case a candidate does not correctly write/shade their CET Number and version code on the OMR answer sheet, their sheet will not be scanned and such candidates will not be assigned any rank
- In the next 70 mins, candidates will have to shade the answers on the bottom portion of their OMR sheet
- On the bottom portion, there will be 60 rows corresponding to 60 questions
- Against each question number, four circles will be provided corresponding to four options of the question paper
- Candidates must shade only one circle corresponding to the correct answer for a single question
- Candidates must note that the OMR sheet scanner is so sensitive to black and blue ink shades that even an unintended ink dot within a circle on the OMR sheet will be taken by it, as filled / shaded, at the time of scanning
- As a result, candidates might end up losing their marks, thus, candidates must fill up the OMR answer sheet very carefully and neatly
- At the end of the paper for each session, candidates must mandatorily affix their left-hand thumb impression in the space provided on the bottom portion of the upper OMR answer sheet but not on the lower sheet
- After the completion of the exam, candidates can take the replica of the OMR sheet (the lower sheet) with them and the upper OMR sheet has to be handed over to the invigilator
- It must be noted that the OMR sheets of those candidates who have not affixed their left-hand thumb impression will not be scanned and their results will not be published.
