Reliance Foundation Scholarships 2023 has been providing scholarships to meritorious students for over 25 years, inspired by Reliance Founder-Chairman Shri Dhirubhai Ambani’s belief that the best way to ensure the nation’s progress is to invest in its youth.

Reliance Foundation is going to support all those students who desire to pursue their degree programs in Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Computer Sciences. On the 90th death anniversary of Dhirubhai Ambani, the Reliance foundation on Wednesday announced another 5000 merit scholarships for UG students of up to Rupees 2 lakh and merit scholarships for PG students of up to Rupees 6 lakh. To grab the opportunity, Foundation has also stated to grant over 50,000 scholarships in the next 10 years.

Reliance has been awarding scholarships to deserving students for more than 25 years. This initiative was motivated by Reliance Founder-Chairman Shri Dhirubhai Ambani’s conviction that investing in the next generation is the best way to ensure the progress of the country.

Through initiatives in primary, secondary, and tertiary education, Reliance Foundation accelerates India’s educational quotient through a two-pronged strategy: creating world-class institutions that serve as models for the country’s education system transformation and encouraging India’s youth to create solutions to the challenges facing the country.

Reliance Foundation Undergraduate Scholarships

The Reliance Foundation Undergraduate Scholarships aim to support up to 5,000 meritorious students based on a merit-cum-means criteria for their undergraduate college education, empowering them to continue their studies without financial burden. The Scholarships aim to enable students to become successful professionals and realize their dreams, unlocking their potential to lift themselves and their communities up and contributing towards India’s future socio-economic development.

Students enrolled in first year UG program or PG program whose household income is less than 15 lakh can apply. The programme will also aim to encourage applications by girls and specially-abled students.. The programme will also aim to encourage applications by girls and specially-abled students.

Reliance Foundation Postgraduate Scholarships

The Reliance Foundation PG Scholarships aim to enable and propel India’s future leaders who can think big, think green, think digital for the benefit of society.

Through this Scholarship, Reliance Foundation will select up to 100 students in the fields of Artificial Intelligence, Computer Sciences, Mathematics & Computing, Electrical and/or Electronics Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Renewable and New Energy, Material Sciences and Engineering, and Life Sciences on the basis of merit through a rigorous selection process.

Eligibility Criteria

The applicant must follow the following eligibility criteria to apply for the scholarship:-

Eligibility
  • Students must be enrolled in first-year full-time undergraduate degree in any stream from a recognised Indian institute.
  • Must have passed class 12 with a minimum of 60% marks
  • The annual household income should be less than INR 15,00,000 (preference will be given to those students whose family income is less than INR 2,50,000)
  • Open for resident Indian citizens only.
Benefits:

Up to INR 2,00,000 over the duration of the degree programme

NOTE: Scholarship will go beyond financial support, with students automatically gaining networking opportunities through a strong alumni network.

The applicants are required to attach the following documents at the time of application –

  • Passport-sized photograph
  • Address Proof (for address ticked as preferred physical correspondence address)
  • Marksheets of 10th and 12th Class Board Examination
  • Bonafide Student Certificate of current college/institution of enrollment, or Student ID Card
  • Family Income Proof
  • Official Disability Certificate (if applicable)

Important Note: 

  • All applicants are required to complete an online aptitude test as part of their application.
  • Once the application is submitted, the applicants will receive a confirmation email that will include the date/time of the online exam and instructions for performing a system compatibility check.
  • Applicants will receive an email with the final exam unique link and a unique link to perform a practice test (optional but recommended) one week before the final test.
  • Applications will be considered complete only when you have completed the aptitude test. Scores will be directly sent to Reliance Foundation once the test is submitted. Applicants will not be notified about their scores.

Reliance Foundation Postgraduate Scholarships 2022-23

Eligibility
  • Students who are enrolled in the first-year full-time postgraduate degree programme in following streams can only apply for this scholarship:
    • Computer Science
    • Artificial Intelligence
    • Mathematics and Computing
    • Electrical and/or Electronics Engineering
    • Chemical Engineering
    • Mechanical Engineering
    • Renewable and New Energy
    • Material Sciences & Engineering
    • Life Sciences
  • Must have secured 500 to 1,000 in the GATE examination

OR

Must have scored 7.5 or above in their undergraduate CGPA (or % normalized to CGPA) [If students have not attempted GATE]

  • Open for resident Indian citizens.
Benefits:

Up to INR 6,00,000 over the duration of the degree programme

Selection Process For PG

The applicant will have to go through the following selection procedure in order to be selected for the PG courses:-

  • All applicants to answer the online aptitude test
  • The test duration will be 60 mins and will contain 60 Multiple Choice Questions
  • Components of the test include verbal ability, analytical and logical ability, and numerical ability
  • Evaluation Stage- Applications will be evaluated by an expert panel of industry experts, academicians, and leaders in the field
  • Interview Stage- Interview preparation webinars will be conducted for all candidates
  • Interviews will be held virtually by the expert panel
  • Up to 100 scholars will be selected
  • All candidates will be evaluated on the basis of merit
